Bristol makes it to the top 5 on Dancing with the Stars!

Bristol Palin, the underdog at this year’s Dancing with the stars, has made it to the final five! At the start of the competition she was an outsider and was not expected to get this far. Despite this, she has stunned audiences and judges every week and has remained a part of the show!

She was last on the leaderboard with 18 points this week but still made it through. The difference between the judges and the public is quite striking. There are two options; either the judges or the public has it totally wrong! Whatever the case, we applaud Bristol for getting out there every week and giving it her best in the face of tough odds.

Bristol, I applaud your tenacity and determination. I have really enjoyed watching you and Mark dance and it is amazing to see the progress in your style with each show. Keep it the good work! Congratulations to you and Mark. I’m delighted to see your Mom and Dad and all the family supporting you wholeheartedly!

  2. Elizabeth Hill says:

I don’t know you but I am ridiculously proud of you. You have handled all the nasty commentary and internet rumor mill with grace and class. I think you should be enormously proud of yourself and I hope you are able to shut out the ill mannered people who have nothing better to do than bash you around. You are so brave and I hope this experience has shown you a love of dance because you are beautiful and graceful to watch. Smile more, laugh, loosen up just a bit more and show these people what Wasilla girls are made of. Don’t be afraid to “pretend” to be someone else on that floor. You and Mark get all my votes each week and I pray you are having the time of your life. Congratulations Bristol.

  3. landrea says:

i think u are doing a fantastic job at what u are doing on dancing with the stars i hope u get to stay to the finish best wishes and congrads!

  4. Jo says:

God I hope you’re gone this week, it is hard for me to believe that you are still in this competition considering remembering steps to a dance does not seem to be your strong suit.

  5. Cheryl says:

Dancing with the stars is becoming a travesty! Bristol is a pretty girl but she doesn’t hold a candle to the other stars when it comes to dancing. Shame on all the people that keep voting to keep her on. I give her credit for doing her best, but please, she needs to be gone. This only proves that the only judges should be the judges. Sorry Bristol, but you need to be gone.

  6. kevin ewing says:

this is not a debate she should be winning for her talent nothing else i think the politics shouldnt be a factor if she stinks she stinks there are better dancers out there i will not watch any more if she wins and will tell all my freinds to boycot the show

  7. Sarma Surgeoner says:

Bristol I think you did an awesome job tonight in both of your dance numbers. I believe in my heart of hearts that CarrieAnn was so wrong on your second dance. This dance was haunting and you created that haunting look. I have no idea what she thought you could express if not haunting. I so hope that the people in Alaska and the rest of the country vote for you because you are a beautiful dancer. Your second dance tonight actually brought tears to my eyes. I wish you all the best.

  8. Catrain says:

I am so impressed with the dancing growth you have shown during DTWS. Tonight’s Paso Doble was aMAZing, especially when viewed after watching your opening dance in September. Congratulations!

  9. R French says:

I agree that Bristol is a very sweet girl and that she has come a long way in DWTS. But you don’t hear that the other contestants are out there campaigning on websites for votes. This is NOT an election or a popularity contest it is a dance COMPETITION. And let’s face it everyone, she is NOT the best dancer on the show. It is time to be fair and let the best DANCER win. Congratulations to Bristol for the progress she has made!

  10. Ronald S. Wos says:

When I was young – “family values” meant if a schoolgirl got herself in “a Family Way” – other words she got knocked outside of mariage – she was embarrassed – expelled from school – sent to another city to live with an “aunt” –
She definitely did not prance around on a political or a dance stage – especially TV.
What kind of parents does she have. AND she is still an unwed mother!!
    Family values??????????

  11. Tamara Holston says:

You should of been booted off a long time ago and you know it! You need to watch the show and see for yourself!!!!!

  12. Scot says:

Bristol has grown so much during this show. She looks absolutely stunning. She is such a natural beauty. Her hair is amazing and when she smiles she lights up the room like no one else.
The judges have definitely had a double standard when it comes to rating her performances. Classic example: They have constantly down graded Bristol for “not getting or keeping in the character of the dance.” They have complained constantly about her facial expressions “drifting” away from what the tone of the dance demands. Perhaps, but Kyle can completely leave character and break into a “smile” during the paso doble and get “10′s.” Cary Ann specifically has harped on Bristol about this. She was so pathetic in her judging of Bristol’s second dance last night, while not mentioning a thing about Kyle’s break from character. Shame on her for such a flagrant double standard!
Bristol has shown more character than the judges themselves. You go girl! You are beautiful and talented. You have carried yourself with class and grace in the face of obvious prejudice. Now matter what happens your light has shown so brightly to all of America. It has been an honor to watch you grow each week!

  13. Jim Springer says:

Good Luck Bristol, I wish you well on DWTS and I hope you win!!! God Speed

  14. Emma M says:

Bristol, I hope you had an opportunity to watch your “passo” performance from Monday night (11/15). You looked absolutely stunning!

  15. ella shearer says:

Yea!Yea!Yea! I’m so proud of you, your hard work paid off because, people like me
appreciate how hard you worked! The other women had dance experience, you and
Klye showed them how its done, Good Girl!
    Sooooooooo proud of you.
    Ella Shearer

  16. Congratulations Bristol!
I am glad to see votes count. You have improved so much! Probably you are the only one without prior experience without
dancing or really being in front of a major audience. That would be tough and the voters know it is tough. Since I would like to see you win I would like to offer 3 suggestions.
    1. Please on Sunday tell the voters -Thank you. There has been alot of good dancers and I don’t know if I would of been here now without your votes. The country will eat it up!
    2. Give us a smile Bristol- You smile as pretty as your Mom-The world needs to see it.
    3. Forgive Brandy from turning from you -She is just not use to losing for sure. You work hard on getting the 9′s from the judges the public will do the rest. Good luck- I will be continuing to vote for you.
The way I see it- and I am just part of the audience- You do the above two and you will be facing Jennifer Gray in the final round. She has a good following also.
Thank you for your time if you or someone would pass it along to you.
    MHopper

  17. Cheryl says:

OMG! This is an all time low for DWTS. Being in the top 4 was bad enough, but Brandi was a beautiful dancer and should have been right up there. What your mother has done to get you where you are is truly wrong!!! If Bristol Palin wins the whole thing, it will completely ruin DWTS forever.

  18. Jennifer says:

It was a darn shame that they let this no dancing girl win. It really is an injustice to her because she knows she was not the better dancer. America must be blind for her
to have won over Brandy, but they will let her win and the Sarah Palin fans will once again prevail. Shame on Dancing With The Stars!!!

  19. John Scherr says:

I hope you don’t take the hateful (and uneducated) comments showing up on the web seriously. I agree with your statement(s) that its not about politics. Well maybe you got on DWTS because of politics. Now it’s about dancing and folks are giving you a lot of credit for a/ Being a REAL person and b/ Becoming a GREAT dancer. Good luck next week!
    John from Jefferson City, MO

  20. Jamie Vaccaro says:

    Hi Bristol,

I just want to say that my family and I think you are great and your dancing has improved every week. The judges have not given you the scores you deserve. You went on DWTS with NO experience and really have done well. We support you not because of your mom, but because you are a graceful and passionate dancer who is working hard to bring it all together.

    Sincerely,
    Jamie Vaccaro – Texas

  21. Maria says:

ABC, DWTS and the Palin family have lost all credibility and integrity in my eyes. They are making a mockery of the show, the fans, and the dancers. Obviously, the mirror ball trophy has already been bought and paid for. It is also tacky of ABC to advertise mom’s show on DWTS. Guess we know who backs them. Bow out Bristol. Can you really live with yourself knowing you did not earn that trophy? The girl cannot dance and worse of all, she doesn’t even try. What kind of morals and values is this girl teaching her son? I threw up in my mouth when they announced Bristol was safe once again. Even the other stars and celebrities on the show were in disbelief. Did you all see the looks on Jennifer’s and Derek’s faces? I think everyone on the show knows their chances of winning just went up in smoke. Brandy did not deserve to go home. We have got to ban together to ensure this girl doesn’t win. There has to be something we can do. If she wins, this show will no longer exist in my household. I am also a huge fan of Cheryl’s, but she too got screwed. Go Jennifer and Derek!!!! I hope someone with real talent actually wins.

    • John Rossi says:

You sound like a dictator not letting anyone watch DWTS in your house! Are you sure that’s where you threw up at…in your mouth….;-)

  22. Clive Sugden says:

Bristol, do the honourable thing, leave ‘DancingWith The Stars’. The process might be Democratic, but the results stink. It’s a form of ‘Voter Padding’.
Let go of mama’s dress tails.

    Clive.

  23. Clive Sugden says:

Bristol, do the honourable thing, leave ‘DancingWith The Stars’. The process might be Democratic, but the results stink. It’s a form of ‘Voter Padding’.

  24. Helen says:

My opinion is that politics is keeping Bristol on this show and that is wrong. It is supposed to be the best dancer. She is consistently last and even though she has worked hard – Brittany deserved to stay and Bristol to go. Shame on the audience.

  25. Anne Beard says:

It is a shame when politics plays a role in a competition such as DWTS. If Bristol Palin wins, it is because the Republican vote put her there and I think, if she does, DWTS should eliminate audience participation and voting completely. It is unfair to people who exhibit quality dancing, just because you like a person’s personality or their party affiliate

  26. Sandy says:

What has this world come to? DWTS…Bristol is only contestant who has no performing backgroud, no musical/dance background and she has steadily improved over the weeks and all of the other contestants are professionals and some with dancing backgrounds. I personally think she deserves to WIN ..hey Judges she has improved more than anyone so give her what she deserves. Jennifer Grey is a professional and has all the background but this is a Reality Show so HURRAH for Bristol. This is not politics, my firends, it is ordinary folks like myself voting for the most deserving and one who has endured the most.

  27. Very American Girl says:

I think Bristol may be a very nice girl, but honesty, does she really deserve to be in the finals on DWTS? Let’s face it…she’s not a very good dancer compared to Brandy and several others that have been voted off. Althought I would like to see her mom run for president, I don’t let that make my decision as to whom should win the DWTS contest. In all fairness to the other, better dancers, I vote with what I see, not what my political views are. Not doing so, would be very narrow minded. Voting for Bristol is not really doing her a favor in life. In the long run, she will be very disappointed once her star fades. She should experience the successes and failures of life on her own, not on her mother’s coat tails.

  28. J brown says:

You go girl, we are all pushing for you. Loosen up and let go and give it more than your 100 %. You can win this.

  29. Kathy says:

I am not a fan of Bristol Palins, in fact I could care less one way or another, however, it is my opionion that it is very disturbing, however, a show like “dancing with the Stars” can let themselves become a political three ring circus. What a joke. What is most sad is people who do have the talent, like Brandy, sadly lose out because of it. Bristols look was as surprised as everyone else when Brandy lost to her. Very undeserving win miss Palin. Most sad is that “Dancing with the Stars” sure did not think this through before asking you to be a contestant, of course, mommies fan are going to vote for you no matter what your talent or lack of is. These are just my opionions and then who the heck am I. I can not believe have a child when you are still a child yourself justifys having a fan club. Then again who am I.

    • John Rossi says:

      Your a nobody…

    • Linda says:

Did some of the Bristol haters and Brandy lovers forget who voted Brandy off? The people who watch the show!!! They didn’t want another arrogant star with an arrogant instructor win! When Max got smart with Carrie Ann, he lost my vote, maybe it shouldn’t have but it did and maybe others felt the same way. If you watched them practice you’d see that Brandy was also stuck on herself. Let a girl who has no talent, is quiet and works hard and improved alot, get somewhere in life. Other DWS have won before and others were better than them. Just remember, it’s the people’s vote.

  30. stacy morris says:

im so proud how far bristol has come on dancing with the stars, i think she did so good this week and was so happy to see she is in the top three. alot of people thinks it has something to do with politics well sorry they are wrong cause i know nothing about the politics i just know that she has worked hard to get where she is. and mark is a cutie right lol good luck bristol cant wait till next weeek

  31. Tito Ortiz says:

Come on Bristol….your dancing is a joke! You are only getting voted through each week because your votes are being heavily solicited….not for your dancing performance. I’ll admit, you are doing quite well, better than most including me expected, but you don’t belong in the finals.
Personally, I like you, you come across very well on the show and my wife and I root for you to do well each week, but you’re definetly not doing as well as the others, some of which have unfairly been voted off the show.
The some of the others, most recently and especially Brandy, desrve better, deserve to be in the finals, deserve to be voted through based on their performance alone.
Its obvious that that show has become a popularity contest for the contestant who can get the most votes by any means and for any reason…other than their dance performance.
If you have any shred of decency, you would come out next week and urge your supporters to watch the show, and vote honestly on your performance…rather than vote based on twitter feeds and blog posts.
By accepting your place on the show this far and if you even go on to win it, you are lying to yourself, lying to the public, and accepting that which you did not earn.

Good luck next week and in life in general, we will no longer be watching DWTS as it’s integrity has been ruined by you and your supporters.

  32. anonymous says:

    MARRY ME!!!

  33. Barbara Allen says:

SOMEBODY, PLEASE! UPDATE THE WEBSITE! Bristol is in the final 3 and I truly do expect her to take home the Mirror Ball. She has shown such great improvement from week one, coming in with absolutely no experience and yes, we have to admit, not a lot of grace in dancing. But, Lo and Behold! The young woman has progressed each week, growing in grace AND charm and learning the techniques, and she’s gained the confidence that will remain with her throughout her life. I believe God is with her and I believe that she will be the Real Winner in this contest. Good Luck and God Bless you, Bristol!

  34. Gayland Miranda says:

You go girl I hope you win it all

  35. joy says:

I am so proud of Bristol for her run on DWTS- she is what the competition is all about- sometimes people lose sight of that. It has been a refreshing change having Bristol on the show. I hope she and Mark continue their friendship- they look adorable together and Mark appears to be a wonderful person as well.

  36. Gary Grogan says:

The underdog is about to win it all! Go Bristol!!

  37. Melbourne Williams says:

Even though I do not agree with your family’s politics I agree with you. You have a wonderful spirit. You act so tough and untouchable but I know the truth. You are this sweet little pink Campfire Girl marshmellow praying to God to send you the man that you can give your life to. My name is Melbourne Williams and I am The Gang Of One and I intend to change the world.

  38. kosmosjane says:

She’s one of the TOP 3 FINALISTS now. Best wishes to Bristol & Mark~
    Love you,
    kosmos

  39. Patty says:

I think that Bristol is doing a great job. She has had the most improvement and deserves to be in the top 3.

  40. bdancel says:

Bristol Palin deserved to be the champion of the Dancing with the stars because shes not a Performer compare to those with experience. I hope she will do better on the final Good Luck

  41. Wanda Mills says:

Bristol I think you have come along way since the beginning and you have really shown advancement. Where do these singers and so called dancers get off thinking that they have it in the bag every week they are on. Brandy was out for herself and thought that she could beat Jennifer Grey HAHA the last laugh is on you Brandy. You deserve your place in the finals Bristol and who cares what others have to say. Keep your chin up.

    • Sally says:

You mean CHIN”S (LOL). You should be ashamed for laughing at Brandy being let go. She was devastated and rightly so. She should be in the final

  42. neeta says:

bristol, i am so had proud of you. i have been been pulling for you from the start. they all have had more experience in everything. stand proud and you give it everything this coming monday. most of all have FUN.

  43. Michelle says:

I don’t know where to post this, so I chose here… It broke my heart when Brandy got kicked off and Bristol didn’t even smile because she was in shock. I never really pay much attention to the Bristol saga ouside of this show, all I know is what I saw. The cameras never went back to her to allow any celebration on her part. It was all about Brandy. And for Bruno to ask them back on the show, shows his favorite and was ignorant. Obviously no one expected it, but so what. If the fans make the decision, so be it. Also, for people to say it is all because of her mom, again I say, So WHAT. Maybe Brandy should have rallied up more fans to call in. Perhaps she would automatically have more fans if she didn’t come off as so conceited. Her partner obviously is, and maybe it rubbed off on her. I don’t know her as a person. But she sure came off as so. That is all I have to say. Stand up Bristol and be proud of your achievement.

  44. Jonathan's Granny says:

Congratulations, Bristol & Mark – your waltz this past Monday brought me to tears – it was beautiful. I truly admire you and would be proud to call you my daughter. The world is so full of hate these days, it makes me sick. You just keep keepin’ on, and don’t listen to mean-spirited people and their comments.

  45. Teresa Hoshiko says:

Forget what the bad remarks that they are saying. You are doing wonderful and working hard at it. You go girl,,,,,,,,,Teresa

  46. Mr. Big Mike Craft says:

This young lady is going to be fine. She is very good looking and has charm. She just needs time. We are involved in a movie project in Woodstock, New York and would think about hiring Ms. Palin for a co-staring role, if we could reach her. I firmly believe she has glamor. Her mother is a very good looking girl and even though I am a DCCC member, I like her mother. I believe Bristol has qualities that just need time and I will actually try to make contact with her via an Alaska newspaper. New York and Alaska are far apart but for Bristol to be in a New York Made Movie, she might just like it. Her mother has a sense of humor, so I will say that this movie is a tough gangster flick but will be rated R, but not X. Please look for some contact in December. The Director has MS and shooting or set up is difficult in the cold! I guess everyone in Alaska would agree! Sincerely mrbigmikecraft

  47. John Rossi says:

I think Bristol belongs in the finals, she is the most improved dancer out there and the only one who has no singing, acting or dancing ability going into DWT’s. Her low scores are from the judges who carry a grudge against her mother. Why else would they tell her that her dance was perfect and then give her an 8! A perfect dance would be a 10. The judges are not doing what their paid to do, they need to leave their personel feelings at home…Especially Carrie Ann.

  48. John says:

The Palins have once again shown they know how to play to win. They have not made a mockery of the show as one misinformed poster said earlier; they have shown how people who care have a voice. The show too has won out here with another season almost guaranteed – thanks in part to Bristol. If the naysayers were really watching, they would have seen how Bristol worked hard and became a star. In my opinion, this is a truly remarkable and wonderful story. It was clear at the end that Bristol learned a lot about herself; she has gained a lot of self confidence and will probably remember the experience for a long time. Congratulations Bristol for taking on such a tremendous challenge, performing so well and teaching us (those that pay attention) something about life.

    John from Jefferson City, MO

  49. Brenda Stinson says:

People, get a life. Bristol Palin is NOT the first nor will she be the last to have a baby and not be married. That has nothing to do with her dancing. She also is not the only dancer to get to the finals and not be that great. She worked as hard as any one else. People voted and she stayed….get over it already.
